Hi, I’m Jordan Bower. I founded Transformational Storytelling back in 2012 right after I spent a year walking across America.
That transformational journey taught me how effective and authentic storytelling could lead to unexpected connections—opening up hearts, minds and spare couches for me to sleep on.
More importantly, my journey taught me that our stories are not fixed. Instead, they evolve continuously as we grow, mature and gain new perspective—and as we share them with different audiences.
These two insights have stuck with me long after I hung up my walking shoes and returned to the “real world”.
Since then, I have delivered more than 100 storytelling trainings to business clients all over the world. I have taught these clients that the same principles of storytelling apply no matter whether we are “telling the story” about our company, our product, our business plans and strategic initiatives. If we want to open up minds and hearts, we have to find the authentic heart of our stories.
More importantly, I have shown them how storytelling principles are not just about big narratives like visions, missions and brands. Effective storytelling can improve all the ways that we communicate at work—written, verbal and more.
Storytelling can improve the impact of our decks and our data, just as it can improve our emails, Teams messages, and social media posts. Improving our communication can change how we are perceived by our stakeholders, how we present our ideas… and even how we live our entire lives!
